In 2019, violinists Shelby Yamin and Sarah Bleile Douglas received a grant from the Juilliard School to record the complete Opus 5 Violin Duets by Maddalena Lombardini Sirmen. Never before recorded in completion, Lombardini Sirmen's Opus 5 contains six delightful sonatas, which are each comprised of two short movements. As specialists in historical performance, Shelby and Sarah have the privilege of bringing Lombardini Sirmen's music to life by playing on period instruments and incorporating the stylistic nuances current to the 1775 publication. Details of the 2020 CD release and concert tour will be made public shortly!
